In 1986, Terry Brett helped found the Seven Stars Farm Store with his wife Patricia, taking on the role as the farm's first yogurt maker. During the ensuing 31 years he has grown that farm store into a multiple-venue, privately-owned chain of groceries that actively reflect his commitment to local farming and his prioritization of organic and fair food. The Kimberton Whole Foods group continues to grow while maintaining a passionate commitment to integrity and sustainability in agriculture.
A father of five with three sons and a daughter in leadership roles in the business, Terry was born in western Pennsylvania and was a truck driver, carpenter, and aspiring vegetable grower prior to creating marketplaces where small scale farmers and food producers can sell their goods. A true friend of the farmer, he is regularly honored for his ethical business leadership and his meaningful contribution to regional sustainable agriculture.
